Former USS Intrepid Crewmember (FCM) Dave Coffland has established

The Christopher J. Coffland ‘CATCH A LIFT’ Memorial Fund

Dedicated in memory – and to honor – his son CPL Christopher J. Coffland,

of the 323rd Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Meade, MD.

Chris was 43 years old; a son, brother, uncle and friend. He was an avid weight lifter - selfless, brave and a courageous American, killed serving in ‘Operation Enduring Freedom’ when enemy forces attacked his unit with a make shift bomb, in Wardak Province, Afghanistan on 11/13/09.

The “CATCH A LIFT FUND” will provide free gym memberships for wounded vets from the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns helping them rebuild body and mind. The vets can choose any gym of his/her choice.
