Imagine what it would have meant to a 19-year-old sailor on the USS Intrepid in 1944
to know that NOW Intrepid would be part of a Museum Complex
where new generations can learn about the incredible characters

Today, Intrepid hosts Tuskegge airmen and astronauts who share their life experiences with students of all ages. Museum educators conduct education programs that reach 50,000 school children annually
