There will be a reduced deposit for those who sign up during the periods Aug 8-15 and Sept 21-28,
2011. This will be $100.00 per person, and is fully refundable until 29 June 2012. Deposits are normally 20% of the price. Final payment would be due on June 29, 2012. The deposit guarantees the prices below. - There will be a $100.00 shipboard cabin credit for every VETERAN who provides Colby with a copy of their DD 214, or retired ID card. This will satisfy Princess that you are eligible. Sorry, this does not apply to spouses or friends unless they are veterans.
- You can visit www.princess.com on line, and find much more information. Just look up GOLDEN PRINCESS and sailing date of Sept15, 2012. Having sailed on GOLDEN PRINCESS last year to Hawaii, We assure you it is a great ship.
We will try to set up a Memorial Service during the cruise.
There are almost unlimited tours and excursions available, either thru Princess, or Colby, who has contact with a competitive shore excursion company. These tours will be between you and Colby, as Wayne does not plan to set up any tours. Colby told me that Interline Cruise Connections will be doing a FREE tour in Juneau for any or all of our group. Colby is an expert on all the tours available as he has been to Alaska over a dozen times. You have to reserve thru Interline Cruises to get the freebies offered by them. Colby can set up transfers to the ship from the airport, and return. He can also set up cruise insurance. Be sure to ask him about that.
While a passport is NOT required as Victoria, BC Canada, is a foreign port of call, it is highly recommended you bring yours if you have one. Otherwise a Birth Certificate and Government Issued ID card is required. Be sure to ask Colby about this. We are researching hotels to find one that will provide shuttle service from the airport to the hotel, plus to the ship on day of sailing. We are hoping to get a group rate. If we find one, we will be sure to let everyone know. Wayne plans to stay in the hotel the night before the cruise, and set up a Princess transfer from the ship to the airport on return.

KETCHIKAN Stroll down Historic Creek Street to Dolly’s House. Or venture outside town to see a forest of hand-carved totem poles. Southeast Alaska’s “First City”, built out over the water and set amidst the Country’s largest national forest, is also your gateway to Misty Fjords National Monument via floatplane.
SKAGWAY Few one-time boomtowns retain the flavor of the gold rush days like Skagway. This gateway to the Klondike is preserved as a National Historic Park with its rustic boardwalk and frontier style storefronts. Possessing one of the oldest narrow gauge railroads in the world, Skagway retains the flavor of days gone by. The Arctic Brotherhood Hall and other buildings like the Trail of ’98 Museum, Corrington’s Museum of Alaskan History and the Alaskan Wildlife Adventure and Museum present different facets of prospecting times.
GLACIER BAY This spectacular National Park and Preserve displays massive glaciers that stretch 3.3 million acres. It is home to an amazing world of marine life, and possesses the highest concentration of tidewater glaciers on the planet.
